Scope

ECHEMS is a recently founded international series of meetings aiming at and promoting the use and development of electrochemistry as a powerful tool to study scientific problems in various evolving areas of current research. The ECHEMS meetings were established in 2004 as a fusion of the former EUCHEM Conferences on Electrochemistry and the Sandbjerg Meetings on Organic Electrochemistry. The logo of ECHEMS highlights symbolically the overlap of electrochemistry with other scientific areas and the new challenges waiting for original electrochemical contributions.

The ECHEMS meetings are hold annually as a rather small international conference and the main topic and host country change every year. The purpose is to gather young and more experienced scientists to present and discuss the results of their research in a very informal and friendly atmosphere. Participation of young researchers, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows is particularly encouraged. In keeping with the informal spirit of these meetings and the wish to promote personal contacts between all the participants, the participation is limited to a restricted number of people, 50-80, who will be accommodated for 3 days at the conference site.

More information is available at the ECHEMS website.
