bibtex2bibtex is a program (currently only as command line utility) that manipulates BibTeX files and their entries. It allows sorting according to various criteria, counting, and (semi)automatic generation of keys. It allows the detection of duplicate keys and duplicate physical copy identifiers.
bibtex2bibtex is available as C++ code together with autotool configuration files. It has been developed and compiled with gcc up to version 4.3.1.
