Documentation of Quantity - The Base Collection of C++ Classes to Handle Quantity Calculus in C++ (preliminary)

Author:

Introduction

This is at present only a VERY limited documentation. Work is in progress to give more details.

Some more information can be found in the README files.

Please contact the author of the program at bernd.speiser@uni-tuebingen.de if you have specific questions about the software.

Quantity is part of Quantities. It defines classes, which are basic to the use of the package: Dimension, Unit, UnitPrefix, Quantity, Variable, Constant, and UniqueConstant. For several of these (in part abstract) base classes, more concrete subclasses are also defined. In addition, many helper constructs (both structs and classes) are collected.

More complex constructs are QuantityClusters. These are collections of quantities, in particular vectors, tuples of vectors etc. At present VariableVector and VariableVectorTuple are implemented.

For information on known issues, bugs, shortcomings etc., see Bugs and Limitations.
